Novalynx Rain Gauge Uncovered - Davis is Questionable
I replaced the cover with the funnel on the Novalynx rain gauge. Some false counts occurred during lubrication and testing. This gauge is NOT heated and will not record any snow until it naturally melts. I will continue to monitor the Davis VP2 gauge. I may need to replace the "tipping spoon" if that is the problem. Consult other nearby rain gauges to confirm rain amounts.

High Moisture Limitations: With PM2.5 sensors, fog reflects the light, and can result in a higher reading. This is characteristic to the inherent sensor design. The condition occurs during rainy or foggy weather, where: Outdoor Temperature - Dew point Temperature ≤ 2 ℃ 3.6 ℉
